This book is a collection of excellent student papers using the Phenomenological method of Edmund Husserl and Gabriel Marcel, during the years 1967-1976 of the editor's teaching the course Philosophy of Man at the Ateneo de Manila University. The papers serve as models of how the phenomenological method can be applied to a variety of experiences, including Filipino experiences such as pagmamano and lamayan. An interpretation of Marcel's classic lecture "Primary and Secondary Reflection, An Existential Fulcrum" is included in the book.
