Collected Verse: Birth Centenary Edition

Collected Verse gathers Nick Joaquin's own choices among the poems he wrote from the mid-thirties to 1987. Published again for his birth centenary, this edition offers a new foreword by Gemino H. Abad, who writes:

"For me, Nick Joaquin is, first and last, a poet--a master of his medium, the language called English: he didn't write in English but rather, wrought from it what his mind and imagination perceived or intuited in our culture and history, in our day-today experience among our own people".
