Sindhi Diaspora in Manila, Hong Kong, and Jakarta

Seeks to understand the Sindhi way of life as it has evolved over the last fifty years in the context of three very distinct cultures—Filipino, Indonesian, and Chinese. Presents a discussion on Sindhi society before the partition of India in 1947. Thereafter analyzes what has remained constant in Sindhi social structure, attitudes, values, and traditions and to what degree Sindhis have adjusted to and been influenced by their host societies represented by Manila, Jakarta, and Hong Kong.
